Minnesota Vikings Detroit Sport reviews
So So Event
The only part I enjoyed about the event was that I got to see a few of my viking fanatic friends for a couple of hours. The lines to get food were ridiculous (peak time when everyone was hungry of course because it was dinner time). Lack of food sights was ridiculous. Overall in walking around the place most people actually look bored until the draft officially started at 7pm.
I miss the old days when it was on a Saturday where you could have a full day of events.
I "hate" paying for autographs. Used to be you could buy a VIP ticket and get access to the player's without extra cost or standing in a huge long line. I didn't even know there was a silent auction until I was ready to leave.
Definitely needed more places to sit and trying to eat off of a table that rolled if you bumped was quite the experience.
Family outing
Ticket master needs to change their barcoding format on tickets to a 2D matrix so it is more robust for variety of personal printers used to generate it. We experienced delayed entry and diversion to remediation table because the toll gate scanners would not read our printed ticket linear barcodes.
entry and exit to the new venue went well. Atmosphere was pleasant, clean, and entertaining. Did experience line to mens bathroom. Food and beverage pricing is high and not very family friendly. Water is $6. I don't think a normal family can afford to go to these events due to the cost. maybe a few charitable organizations could be offered some concession stand space for fund raising and offer some lower priced food and beverage options. The game experience is correographed with multimedia formats. Overall, it is classy but pricey.
Super Bowl Ready!!
This was our first Vikings game attended at the new US Bank stadium and it was a breeze. We only paid $8 for parking and walked 5 blocks in downtown Minneapolis. There were several security and entrance attendants scatters throughout the entire area surrounding the stadium directing people from area to area that drastically reduced the wait time to get into the stadium. The flow of people traffic was smooth and accessible. The stadium itself is a sight to see. The sounds, sights of interest and vendors were fantastic. I don't think there could possibly be a bad seat in the whole place. There was plenty of footing room around the seats and more than enough attendants and service people available to help. I can't wait to go back for another game. Season tickets would be amazing!!!
Out in the cold
Me and my dad who was in a wheelchair got turned away at the handicap gate 45 mins early. On a normal day I have no issue with this. This is Minnesota on a below freezing negative weather day. The windchill was -21. We were told we need to go find somewhere warm till gates open. This was very inconvenient and not accommodating at all. The stadium offers no warm locations outside and the side of the stadium with handicap drop off has no businesses. My dad ended up in the hospital and we didn’t get to watch the game at the stadium anyways. I know this isn’t a ticket master issue but I will never attend U.S. bank stadium again.
